So many changes logged. There were smiles that we are sure had nothing to do with bodily functions, a raised eyebrow, the miraculous disappearance of dry skin, numerous water, basketball and work related adventures and a greater knowingness behind her constantly darting and (lets face it) occasionally crossing little eyes.

Washed Up

First bath. First bath. Everyone says this is such a big deal. As you can see, it certainly was for Violet. The occasion would have been better caught on video so the audio track could accurately express her high pitched wails. Poor girl. We hope she hasn't been too traumatized. Will try again soon.

Still Life With Umbilical Nub

Violet is proud to announce the shedding of her shriveled up umbilical nub. It was tenderly cared for during its 9 day run, but still found unexpectedly hanging out in the back of some girly pink pajamas. We wish it the best and welcome a rather wonderful little belly button.
